Black Lives Matter TEE

BLACK LIVES MATTER (I CAN'T BREATHE), let's be clear, stating that black lives matter doesn’t insinuate that other lives don’t. Gaslighting is a tactic in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power (or in this case, keep their own peace), makes a victim question their reality. Why do those who counter black lives matter act as though black people aren't aware of the glaring disproportionate statistics of police brutality, of health care racism, and of mass incarceration? This is our reality. You deciding to ignore it for your own comfort doesn't make it any less true.

All lives are not in danger right now! Black lives are in danger! We are the ones under the heat! We are the ones that fear if we are pulled over by a police officer(not knowing whether it’s a good cop or bad cop) that something bad will happen to us or we’ll be mistreated even in the justice system.

This is our way to peacefully create awareness that our black lives are just as important as white lives.

It’s about the black people who are in danger right now! I saw a post where in Luke 15: 3-7 and Mathew 18: 12-14. There are 100 sheep but 1 of the sheep go missing! It talks about how Jesus goes after that 1 sheep! He doesn’t go after the one sheep because he doesn’t care about the other 99! This is the parable of the lost Sheep!

That lost sheep is out in the wilderness with not protection! Jesus isn’t saying he’s abandoning his followers! Rather, the point of the parable is His pursuit of the lost and that 1 who is in danger and His joy when people come to Him for salvation.

We are the ones taking fire right now! We as a black community are under the fire! We are that 1 sheep! We are hurting. We are tired of living in fear. We are fed up with injustice. We need saving! We need love and protection! We need your support! We as blacks need a voice! We need change! We know all lives matter but it’s the black lives that are under attack right now! When your loved one is on their death bed it’s not about you! It’s not about your bills or what else you got going on! You don’t tell your loved one who is dying that everybody in the world is dying too! No, it’s about that person who losing their life right in front of your eyes! Your attention and support is with them.
